Sylvia Nolen

NOLEN, SYLVIA C. “JUANITA”, 83, of Christiansburg, VA, passed away at her home with her family by her side on April 6, 2011.

She was a dedicated homemaker, member of the Belmont Christian Church and the Belmont community for over 50 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack & Georgia Carden and her husband, Harry E. Nolen.

She is survived by her sons and their spouses, Ronnie & Pat Nolen of Perry, GA, Phillip & Lori Nolen of Christiansburg, VA; daughters Barbara Nolen of Christiansburg and Rita & husband, David Winger of Fredricksburg, VA; grandchildren, Kastina Rowell, Chris Winger, Jessica Malone, Barrett Nolen, Greg Winger, Emily Nolen and Maggie Nolen; 3 great grandchildren; and sister, Geneva Akers of Belspring, VA.

The Nolen family will receive family and friends on Friday, April 8, 2011, from 6-8 pm at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at 11 am at the Belmont Christian Church, Christiansburg, with Minister Jerry Dowdy officiating. Interment will follow at Belmont Cemetery, Christiansburg.
