Steve Alan Cox, age 64, passed away in his home on Friday, February 15, 2019 in the care of Hospice and other caregivers and with his beloved cats close by, following a valiant battle with cancer.
Steve was predeceased by his father, Herbert H. Cox, and is survived by his mother, Dorothy Cox of Christiansburg; son Adam Cox of Roanoke; brothers Dennis Cox of Floyd, and Gary Cox and wife Rene of Christiansburg; nephews Shane Cox and wife Kate Payne Cox of Roanoke, Dylan Cox of South Bend, IN and Bradley Cox of Myrtle Beach, SC.
A 1972 graduate of Christiansburg High School, Steve received a BA with Honors in Philosophy and Religion from Radford University in 1978. He was a person of many talents and interests, and was employed at the Moss Performing Arts Center of Virginia Tech as an IT Specialist.
To honor Steve's wishes, there will be no service or visitation. Memorial remembrances may be made to The Moss Arts Center Annual Fund.
