Shirley A. McGuyer Songer, 57 of Christiansburg went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 12, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Grace McGuyer; father, Jim McGuyer; and her sister, Nora M. Dewese.
Left to cherish her memory are her fiancé, Jerry Morris; brothers, Jim Bo “Jimmy” McGuyer, and William “Bill” McGuyer.
She is also survived by many special nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Horne Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2012. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Keith Graves officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made to help offset expenses.
