Sherman Perry

Sherman Perry of Christiansburg, VA, passed away on September 30, 2012. Surviving him are his wife of 53 years, Bonnie; daughter, Linda Eaton and her husband Mark; and granddaughter, Sarah of Toano, VA. Also surviving is a brother, Rodney Adkins of Barboursville, WV. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Moore Perry Adkins; step-father, Dallas Adkins of Barboursville, WV; and his father, Jesse Perry of Wilsondale, WV.
Sherman, a retiree of the Air Force, was known for his gentle spirit and his quick wit. He enjoyed his years of serving as a substitute teacher at Blacksburg High School. During the past four years, he spent winter months at Winter Haven, FL, enjoying the camaraderie of his wonderful friends there.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 1, 2012, from 6-8 pm at Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. A visitation and memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at Morris Funeral Home in Wayne, WV.
