Shelby June Coble Dalton
January 15, 1940 — July 5, 2016
Shelby June Coble Dalton, 76, of Elliston, VA, went to stroll the Streets of Gold with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 5, 2016.
Left to cherish her memory and to continue her legacy is her children, Moir “Steve” Dalton (Lisa) of Elliston, Bradley Dalton (April) of Vinton; and son-in-law, Bubbie Hall of Elliston. Her beloved grandchildren, Chance (Terri) Hall of Bonsack, Heather (Barry) Light of Shawsville, and our newest addition, Nathan Dalton of Vinton; and one great-grandchild, Madison Hensley of Bonsack. She is also survived by her two sisters, Ruby (Dean) Dalton of Elliston, and Mary (Joanie) Jonas of Hillsville; as well as many special family members, friends, and Elliston Church of God family. Shelby was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Moir Addison Dalton; daughter, Dianne, Dalton Hall, both of Elliston; mother, Cora Phillips Coble; father, William L. Coble; brother, Joseph Paul Coble, both of Sylvatis; and two sisters, Helen Coble Dunagan of Pulaski, and Eileen Coble York of Roanoke.
She was loved by all and will be greatly missed by many.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 8, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Elliston Church of God. The Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Piedmont Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Horne Funeral Home.
