Gillenwater, Shannon T., age 28, of Radford, VA vapassed away on Saturday, November 21, 2009. He was born July 27, 1981 in Montgomery County, VA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Dickerson Gillenwater; his grandparents; and his special grandmother, Elsie Woodyard.
He is survived by his father and step mother, Don and Carolyn Gillenwater of Radford, VA; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Megan Gillenwater of Christiansburg, VA; a very special nephew whom he loved like his own son, Ayden Gillenwater; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Horne Funeral Home with Pastor Porter Riner officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home. The Gillenwater family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg, VA.
