Sarah Jane Roop East, 77, of Radford, passed away February 12, 2019.
She is survived by her husband, George T. East; daughter, Elizabeth East Stacy and husband Mike; grandchildren, Kathleen Stacy, Blake Stacy, and Mary Jane Stacy; brother, Jack Roop and wife, Brenda; and nieces and nephews, Brad Roop and wife Jenni, Tammy Surface and husband Alan, Tom Eastridgeand wife Trudy, and John Allen Eastridge.
Sarah cared for patients with Dr. James Hal Smith in Christiansburg for 36 years.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 18, 2019, from 6-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Paul Song officiating. Interment will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veteran’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations to be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, Christiansburg. Online condolences for the family may be left at www.hornefuneralservice.com .
