Samuel Rudolph Smith

Samuel Rudolph Smith, age 91 of Christiansburg, VA, passed away December 21, 2020 at Montgomery Regional Hospital. Rudolph was a proud lifelong resident of Montgomery County and Christiansburg, VA. Nothing gave him more pleasure in life than helping and spending time with his sons, grandchildren, extended family, and friends. His close relationships spanned multiple generations. He enjoyed hunting with his sons and friends, attending Edgemont Christian Church, and lending a helping hand to his friends through his expert knowledge of farm equipment. Rudolph was always up for a challenge. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Sarah Quesenberry Smith; father, Stafford Smith; mother Versie Cox (Smith) Altizer; brothers, Manfred Smith and Bruce Smith, and sister, Christine Duncan.
