Samuel Richardson

RICHARDSON, SAMUEL DAVIS, age 91, of Shawsville passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2005 at Richfield Care and Recovery in Salem. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, four brothers and two sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Rosa, one son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Barbara Richardson of Marietta, Georgia, one daughter and son-in-law, Vera and Bobby Hall of Shawsville; two sisters, Margaret Williams and Josephine Knox; five grandchildren and their spouses, Sammy and Debbie Richardson, Larry and Sherri Richardson, Robbie and Sharon Hall, Ronnie and Marti Hall and Rhonda and Darryl Eller; six great grandchildren, Thomas and Jessica Richardson, Corey and Allison Hall and Hannah and Brandon Eller.

The family wishes to give special thanks to the nursing staff, third floor at Richfield Care and Recovery and to Mrs. Shirley Trimble, special friend and care giver. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday evening at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17th, at the First Church of God, Canaan Road, with Rev. Max Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be sent to the Shawsville Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 14, Shawsville, VA 24162.
