Samuel Moran

MORAN, SR., SAMUEL C., age 65, of Christiansburg died Wednesday, December 7, 2005 in Lewis-Gale Medical Center, Salem.

He was employed at Hidden Valley Country Club in Salem for 45 years. Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Dexter Moran and Eva Moran.

Sam is survived by his wife of 33 ? years, Charlotte Ann Hinkley Moran of Christiansburg; his daughter, Leslie Moran; a son, Sammy Moran II of Duffield, VA; three grandchildren, Dyllon Moran, David Samuel and Haddon Moran; former daughter-in-law, Aubree Moran; two sisters and their husbands, Barbara & Harold McCoy of Nora, VA; Mary Lee & Edward Higgs of Indian Valley; four brothers and their wives, Jim & Linda Moran of Wytheville; Nelson & Linda Moran of Shawsville; George & Linda Moran of Christiansburg and Bill Moran; many nieces, nephews and special friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be given to Charlotte, his wife, for his burial expenses.
