Ruth Weaver

Ruth Conner Weaver of Christiansburg, passed away on August 16, 2011.
Ruth taught first grade for many years in the Montgomery County School System. During this time, she saw the need for preschool education and started the private Jack and Jill Kindergarten.
She also was an active member of the Christiansburg Rescue Squad Auxiliary and St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Scott Weaver of Christiansburg; one daughter, the Honorable Cindy Weaver of Florence, Alabama; one sister and her husband, Mabel & George Guilliams of Riner; several nieces and nephews, including special nieces Pat Whitaker of Richmond, VA, Sue Thacker of Riner and Gina Richardson of Richmond, VA.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 20, 2011, from 10-11 am at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Christiansburg. The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 20, 2011, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, The Reverend Doug Kanney officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
