NELSON, RUTH St.CLAIR GAUTIER, 87, departed this life for a better one on July 23, 2004 at 1:45 a.m. at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was a resident of Heritage Hall Nursing Home and retired from Hoechst Celanese Plant in Narrows after more than 21 years of service.
She was born on March 17, 1917 to Rufus G. and Mary Long St.Clair. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jesse G. & Rene Cooper of Waterbury, Conn.; daughter, Alice G. Stafford of Radford, VA; grandchildren Gregory A. Kalka and fianc? Deborah Dennis of Radford, VA; Lee, Randy, Linda and Karen Cooper of Waterbury Conn.; 1 great granddaughter, Autumn Brooke Voorhies Kalka of Junction City, KY; 4 great grandchildren of Waterbury, CN; sisters, Helen Pyles of Pearisburg, VA; Francis Evans of Narrows, VA; Louise Testerman of Elkton, MD; a special niece, Billie Ann Moses and several other nieces and nephews.
At Ruth's request (and out of respect for her wishes) there will be no services. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make a donation to their favorite charity or local church in her memory. Burial will be private. Services provided by Horne Funeral & Cremation Service, Christiansburg.
