Ruth Linkous

Linkous, Ruth L., of Christiansburg, VA, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2010. She was born to the late, Maury and Bessie Linkous on January 8, 1924. Also preceding her in death is her husband of 34 years, Riley M. Linkous; grandson, Kirk E. Linkous and two sisters, Claudine Owens and Betty Jean Weddle.

She is survived by her son, Eddie Linkous and wife, Sandra, of Christiansburg, VA; granddaughter, Kelly L. King and her husband, Jamie, of Christiansburg, VA; and three great-grandchildren, Trey, Riley and Brodie King. She is also survived by a sister, Eula Shelor; a brother, Vernon Linkous and wife, Rita; two special friends, Virginia East (cousin) and Marie Smith.

A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m., Friday, September 24, 2010 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg, VA, with Rev. Monroe Hedrick officiating. Friends may visit after 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 615 White Pine Drive, Christiansburg, VA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christiansburg Rescue Squad and Carilion Hospice.
