Roy Lee Smith Sr.

Roy Lee Smith Sr., 76, of Elliston, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 17, 2022. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Judy Gail Smith. He was a lifelong devoted husband. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Marci Smith; son, Roy L. Smith Jr. and daughter-in-law, Melanie; grandchildren, Adrianna McGuire, Zane and Zander Smith; sisters and brother-in-law, Pauline and Conrad Bond, Lena McNew; brother-in-law, Ronnie StClair; and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Roy was a kind, loving, honest, hardworking Christian man. He would help anyone in need and you could always count on him to be there. He enjoyed listening to gospel music, spending time with family, and looked forward to family reunions. He loved his family and was greatly loved in return.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
