Robert Jerry Vaughn, 74, of Christiansburg, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013.
Jerry was formerly employed by Turman Lumber Company, and had retired from Volvo-White Trucking. His current occupation was owner of Christiansburg Cab Service and Blacksburg Taxi which was operated by him and his deceased wife, Irene Vaughn. Jerry was a long standing member of the Montgomery County Fraternal Order of the Moose Lodge #1470 and the U.A.W.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene T. Vaughn; his parents, Waitman and Cecil Vaughn; and his brother, Ronald Vaughn. He is survived by his children, Pamela Vaughn, Barry Vaughn, Sharon V. Hinkley, Denise Coleman, and Kathy Jansson; step-children, Crystal Davidson and Amy Ford; 11 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; as well as 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 6, 2013, from 5-7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Memorial Service will follow in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel.
