Robert Miller

Miller, Robert Charles (R.C.), 76, of Christiansburg, VA, formally of Pilot, VA, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at his home. .
Mr. Miller retired from Shell Finishing-Lynchburg Foundry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert “Bob” and T. Pearl Barker Miller; son, Kevin C. Miller; sisters, Marie Phillips and Merl Flinchum; and a brother James A. “Carry” Miller.

He is survived by his wife, Nettie Carmell Miller; daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and Jimmy Smith; daughter-in-law, Susan Miller; brothers and sister-in-laws, William C. and Dorothy Miller, Sonny and Loretta Miller. Also surviving are granddaughters, Melissa Miller and Stacie L. Smith; granddaughters and husbands, Cassie and Cory Winfrey; Bridget and Scott Perfater; Vickie and Patrick Griggs; Shannon D. and Peter Hannon; grandsons and wives, Russell and Shelia Smith, Micheal and Monica Silcox; great grandchildren, Madison Smith, Jacob Miller, Jeremiah Griggs, Kesha Akers, Mikinzi and Raven Winfrey, Michael and Austin Silcox; he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.

The family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2008 at Horne Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2008 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Buford Linkous, Rev. Leon Alley, Rev. Claude Dove Officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg,VA.
