Robert William Long, 79 of Radford, joined our heavenly Father on Sunday, November 3, 2013. Robert was a hard worker, loving husband and great father.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Laura Hodge and Winston Long; brothers, Everett Lee and Earl Long. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Beverley Long; daughters, Debra Parks and Ashley Long; his one and only son, Robert William Long Jr.; and his only beloved grandson, Isiac William Long; two sisters, Margaret Graves and Dorthy Sarver; and brother, Stanley Long.
Robert will be forever missed by those closest to him. We find comfort in knowing that he no longer suffers here on earth, but instead is at last in his forever home. The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Kenneth Poston officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
