Robert Lee Dewese of Pulaski passed away on April 18, 2013, at the age of 72. He was born in Covington, VA, on August 24, 1940. He is preceded in death by his father, Nenever B. Dewese; mother, Daisy Moss Dewese; brothers, William Dewese and George Dewese; and one sister, Margaret Scott.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Dewese; five children, Kathy & Howard Whitaker of Willis, Brandon Dewese of Dublin, Tony & Patty McGuyer of Snowville, Jimmy & Jackie McGuyer of Christiansburg, Phyllis & Tommy Epperly of Dublin; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his lifelong friends, Jack & Betty Atkinson, Parley & Ella Howell, and the Cid family.
The family would like to give special thanks to Mrs. Hampton and the second grade class at Crizer Elementary School in Pulaski.
The family will have visitation on Monday, April 22nd from 9-11 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. at Midway Community Church, 484 Virginian Drive in Christiansburg, with Rev. Wallace Yopp officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Horne Funeral Home to help with expenses.
