RICHARD WAYNE CARTER ‘BUDDY’, 68, of Hiwassee passed on Saturday, December 15, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis & Violet Carter. Buddy is survived by his wife, Ruth M. Carter; sons, Alan Carter & wife, Tracey, and Danny Carter; grandchildren, Hunter, Tanner, Jacob and Hannah Carter; sisters, Beverly Stafford and Debbie Griffin; many nieces and nephews; and Buddy and Ruth’s loving work families at Prices Auto Body and CVS Pharmacy in Christiansburg. The family would like to thank the staffs at Blueridge Cancer Care and the 4th floor nurses at Lewis Gale Montgomery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 18 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Horne Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses.
