Reta Brookman

BROOKMAN, Reta Hamilton, 69 of Elliston, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 31, 2008 after a long illness from her daughter’s home with her family by her side.

A devoted Christian of the Free will Baptist Faith, She loved her Lord.

The daughter to the late Delmer Hamilton and Christine Mullins, she was also preceded in death by her daddy; Ivory Mullins, her husband; Allen E. Brookman and nephew; Robbie Mullins. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law; Reta Pabon of Elliston, Donna and Thomas Graham, of Elliston, and Nancy and John Brooks, of Helen GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Brandi Haendle, Christine Haendle, Elise Haendle, and her great grandchildren; Logan Haendle, Naia Haendle and Layla Hurd. Sisters and brothers; Edna Pucket of Mt. Jackson, VA, Bonnie Snyder and husband, Gary of Wise, VA, Roy H. Mullins, of Jenkins, KY, James Mullins and wife, Delorse of Stickleyville, VA, Robert Mullins of Wise, VA, Glenn Mullins and wife, Jannie of Jenkins, KY, Gerald Mullins and wife, Anita of Appalachia, VA, Johnny Mullins and wife Deborah of Wise, VA, sister-in-law; Martha Sink of Blacksburg, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.

The family will receive friends at The Horne Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 from 5 – 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 3, 2008 in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Virgil McHone officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
