Reba Hamlin

Hamlin, Reba Lorine Sheppard, 75, of Blacksburg, went to be with her Lord on April 14, 2006.

She was the daughter of the late Harvey Lee and Mattie Rucker Sheppard and she also was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Hamlin, Jr..

Mrs. Hamlin is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Steve W. and Ida Hamlin and Roger D. and Peggy Hamlin; daughters and sons-in-law, Dianna Lynn and Jimmy Bratton and Marie and Frank Scammell; grandchildren, Sgt. Stephanie Martin, Maria Sandoval, Roger Steve Hamlin, Kristy Taylor, Caroline Hamlin, Amanda Bratton, John Mark Hamlin, and Lt. JG. Preston Scott Marshall. She is also survived by her 8 great grandchildren; a special friend, Lowell "Cotton" Ferguson; 3 brothers; a sister; and many special nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Apr. 17, at the Walton Pentecostal Holiness Church. A funeral service will be held 12 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at Walton Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Lee Sarver officiating.

Interment will follow in the Belmont Cemetery.
