Raymond Boone

BOONE, Raymond T., 90 of Moneta, VA died Sunday, June 10, 2007 at his son’s home. Mr. Boone served his country in the United States Army serving in WW II. He retired from Radford Arsenal after 35 years of service.
The son to the late William and Maggie Boone he was also preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Dick Boone, daughter Kathy Boone, sister Merinda (Rinda) Berkley brothers, Perry Boone, Sherman Boone, Berman Boone. Mr. Boone was a loving father to; Mary Lee McKinize of Shawsville, Barry S. and his wife Joan Boone, of Moneta, Gary R. Boone, of Judson, W, VA, and Greg K. Boone and his friend, Doug Campbell of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
The family wishes to thank many special people who helped care for Mr. Boone; Robert Barker, Teresa Neil, Maggie Whited, Mary Boothe, Belinda Holdren, Dr. Steven Collins, Danny and Tammy Walls.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2007 at The Horne Funeral Home, 1300 North Franklin Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2007 in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Danny Walls officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
