Ralph Edward McGuire, 60, of Abingdon, VA went to be with his Savior on Wednesday, January 23, 2013.
Waiting to join him is his precious loving wife, Mary Ann, who stood by him for 24 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul & Betty McGuire, brothers, Billy, Clyde, and Marvin McGuire. Left to cherish his memories are brothers, Melvin (Rosemary), Danny (Debbie) McGuire, sisters, Mary (Robert) Linkous, Christine (C.P.) Harrell Jr., & Lilly Boyd, and children, Cecil & Jamie, also special companions and friends, Holly and Jolly and many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved dearly.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Davis, Dr. Banks, and the staff at Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, TN for all of their kindness shown during his illness. Also, for every prayer, love and support from everyone. Special friends, Sandy Yarber, Dottie Q'Quinn, and Danny Peek, the VCE family, & Highland Fellowship Church of Abingdon, VA.
A visitation will be on Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 1:00 until 3:00 pm and from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Horne Funeral Home with Pastor C.P. Harrell, Jr. and Pastor Dale Akers officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg, VA.
