Polly J. Hodge

November 5, 1931 — March 12, 2020

Polly J. Hodge, 88, of Christiansburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 12, 2020. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, ‘Newel’ Hodge; parents, Harley R. Linkous and Lossie K. Huffman; brother, Wendell Linkous; and 2 sisters, Anna L. Jones and Beatrice Trump.
Polly is survived by her son, Joseph ‘Joe’ Hodge; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie (Chester) Linkous, and Robert Ruble who was as dear as her own son; grandchildren, Ginger (Tim) Cromer and Dottie (Todd) Burris; great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Kaylyn, and Caleb Cromer, and Laci, Marley, and Garrison Burris. She is also survived by brothers and sister-in-law, R. B. Linkous, Wayne (Peggy) Linkous; sisters and brother-in-law, Dolly Vest, Wanda (Bob) Thompson; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charlie Trump, Shirley Hodge, Kathy Hodge, Shirley Linkous; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.
The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice and the staff at Heritage Hall Blacksburg.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 14, 2020, from 6-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2020, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel, with Pastor Clayton Kipps officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
