McGuyer, Pauline Marie Hixon, 78, of Christiansburg, VA was rescued and taken to Heaven to be forever free of pain on Thursday, June 24, 2010.
A daughter of the late Bryant and Gay Hixon, of Merrimac, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert McGuyer, and a son, Rex McGuyer; also preceding her were her brothers, Bill, Paul (Tug) and Carl Hixon; her sisters, Mary Linkous, Mable Donathan and Velma Collins. Left to cherish her memory is her son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Ellen McGuyer; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Ronnie Allen, all of Christiansburg; sister, Cynthia “Bob” Conner, of Pilot; grandson, Scott Allen and wife, Virginia and their children, Hunter, Jonathan and Garrett, of Indian Valley; grandson, Blair Allen and wife, Jaime and their children, Reid and Chase, of Christiansburg; granddaughter, Julie McGuyer and her children, Damian and Camdon, of Christiansburg, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from noon until 2p.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Horne Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Dwayne Martin and Rev. Johnny Early officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg, VA.
