Pauleda Simmons Cox

Pauleda Simmons Cox, 85, of Christiansburg, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was born in Willis, VA on July 18, 1931, to the late Archie and Willie Simmons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elden C. Cox, Sr.

Pauleda is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Lowell Reed, Wilma Jean Radford, Lisa and Tony Royal; son, Elden C. ‘Sonny’ Cox, Jr., all of Christiansburg; granddaughters, Cherie, Stacey, Nicci, Holly, Ashley, Lindsay, and Stephanie; as well as seven great-grandchildren.

She retired from Donnkenny and Kmart and was an avid bowler for over 30 years.

Our family would like to thank Sharon and Luann with Southern Care Hospice and the Heritage Hall staff for their loving care of Mom.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 25, 2016, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
