SHOCKLEY, PATRICIA ANN, 68, of Riner, VA, went to wait for the Lord on Monday evening, April 25, 2011.
Ms. Shockley was preceded in death by her father, Phillip A. Dugger and her mother, Dorothy Torris; as well as a sister, Betty Lucas.
She is survived by her life partner, Lewis J. Williams; her sister, Barbara Jean Dugger of Roanoke, VA; her brother, Phillip Henry Dugger; her five children and their spouses, Theresa and husband Walter Ford, Elizabeth and husband Tony Ling, Ricky and wife, Melodie Hardin, Donna Hardin and James Edward Hardin. “Nanny” was a loving and fun grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. We have many fond memories that we hold dear.
Ms. Shockley was a home day care provider for many years, caring for many children ranging in ages. “Nanny” will be greatly missed by everyone’s life she touched.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 30, 2011, from 5-8 pm at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Sunday, May 1, 2011, at 1 pm in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. Porter Riner officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
