Nellie Ann Taylor Wood

Nellie Taylor Wood, born November 14, 1923, passed away on September 9, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Alfred; and son, Ray. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Jean Woody (Roger) of Christiansburg, VA, Pat Woody (Jerry) of Canton, OH; son, Tommy Wood (Pat) of Radford, VA; grandsons, Erik Woody (Brenda), Chuck Woody (Tara), Tyler Wood, and Travis Wood; granddaughter, Mallory Wood; great-grandchildren, Derek Woody, Crissy Derkay (Brian), and Molly Woody; great-great-granddaughters, Morgan and Kaylee Derkay; sister, Edna Gearheart; brother, Allen Taylor; special sister-in-law, Christine Wood; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 11, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at 1 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Rusty Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
