Mildred Louise Woody (NaNa), of Christiansburg, was born on September 7, 1922, and went to her eternal home on April 27, 2014.
A loving mother and grandmother, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Samuel M. Woody. She is survived by three sons, Roger Woody (Jean) of Christiansburg, Kirt Woody (Diane) of Largo, FL, and Danny Woody of Christiansburg; one daughter, Gail Moles (Gene) of Riner; four grandchildren, Erik (Brenda), Chris, Crystal (Mike), and Travis (Jenny); six great-grandchildren, Crissy (Brian), Derek, Kaytlin, Michael, Jacob, and Madelyn; and two great-great-grandchildren, Morgan and Kaylee.
Special thanks to the nurses, CNAs, and staff of Heritage Hall Nursing Home and Good Samaritan Hospice for their loving care of Mom.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, from 5-7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Richard Kingrea officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
