Michael Wayne Poff
November 18, 1950 — July 20, 2016
Michael Wayne Poff, 65, of Christiansburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 20, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold Walter and Treva Waunetta Duncan Poff. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Sharon Poff; sister, Kathy P. Banks; niece, Michelle Forth and husband Chad; aunts, Frances Marshall and Ruby Duncan; best buddy, Gabe Salamanca; his best friend and brother he never had, Pete Hampton; and his furry companion, Olaf.
Mike was a longtime member of Isaac Walton Montgomery County Chapter and the Blue Ridge Model A Club. Mike had a very special sense of humor, loved working in his garage, fishing with Gabe and Pete, and will be sadly missed.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 23, 2016, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow at Noon in the Chapel, with Pastor Jerry Hilton officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
The family would like to thank the staff of Lewis Gale Montgomery, including the ICU, PCU, and all the staff on the second floor for their kind assistance.
