Michael Valentine Dilello, 83, of Christiansburg, VA passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021.
He was born January 2, 1938 in Watertown, NY to the late Joseph and Grace Dilello. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Marie Mathieu and Carmaline Arquiett. Michael is survived by his wife Joyce Dilello; children, Dawn (David) Flippo, Anthony Dilello, Cheryl Dilello, Susan (Tony) Anderson, Sheree (Carl) Wimmer, Tony (Teresa) Davis; sisters, Patricia Hooppell, Virginia Martin, and Antionette Keggins. Michael is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Sean (Hannah) Flippo, Ryan (Niki) Flippo, Jason (Lori) Atkins, Jessica (Eric) Akers, Amanda (TJ) Campbell, Tiffany Hylton, Brandi (Jake) Witt, Aaron Wimmer, Tracy Davis; as well as 12 great-grandchildren, Liam Flippo, Clayton Flippo, Eliza Flippo, Kaylen Flippo, Blake Long, Alexis Cox, Jameson Witt, Jolie Witt, Landon Wimmer, Justin Campbell, Tristan Campbell, Novella Hylton.
Mike was a proud veteran of the USAF. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and telling stories of his life.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home and funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm in Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jerry Hylton officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery with military honors.
