Maurice Beckett

BECKETT, MAURICE, age 74, of Roanoke and formerly of Blacksburg, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2007. Survivors include his son, James Maurice Beckett; step son, Larry Cox; brother, Les Beckett; grandchildren, Mike Cox, Melissa Corkhill, Brittany Beckett, Jonathan Beckett; nieces, Margaret Dinubila and family; Jeannie Forrest and family; nephew, Robert Wingo; great grandchildren, Jacob Cox, Thomas Corkhill, Kylee Corkhill and Micah Cox. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Horne Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2007 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
