Matthew Howell Smith

Matthew Howell ‘Hal’ Smith, 51, of Christiansburg, passed away on September 13, 2014.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Pearl Smith; and a brother, Junior Smith. He is survived by his children, Brandon Smith and Stacy Smith; grandchildren, Logan and Carson Smith, Hannah, Heaven, Steven, Tyler, and Nevaeh; siblings, Joe Smith and Brenda Martin; and nephews, Adam Smith, Bobby Martin, J. Dewayne Martin, and Johnny L. Martin.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, from 1-2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held directly after at 2 p.m. in the Chapel, with Rev. Jerry Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
