Mary Peregoy

On 2/6/2008, Mary Alma Chandler Peregoy departed from her family and friends in this world to be united with her Savior and reunited with family and friends in heaven.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James; her son, Marvin; her parents, Grace and Joseph Chandler; and five sisters and brothers.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Jane Hendricks (Winston-Salem, NC), Freda Hurt (Richmond, VA), and Becky Barnett (Richmond, VA), as well as seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Mary’s family will receive visitors at Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg, VA, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, 2/8/2008. A celebratory funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, 2/9/2008, at Cambria Baptist Church, also in Christiansburg, where Mary served the Lord for over fifty years and where her body will lie in state for an hour before the service. Interment will be at Sunset Cemetery. The family wishes to express their special appreciation to her Sunday School Class, pastors, and church family at Calvary Baptist Church and to the Hospice and Palliative CareCenter for the loving care they gave Mary.
