Mary Ellen Thompson Jones, age 62, of Christiansburg, VA, passed away Friday, October 12, 2012, in Heritage Hall Health Care Center, Blacksburg, VA.
Preceded in death by her father, Elder Gold Thompson; and two brothers, Kenneth Thompson and Johnny Thompson. She is survived by her daughter, Mitzi Jones Kendrick & husband, Shawn Thibodeau; two grandchildren, Joshua Kendrick and Tristen Kendrick all of Concord, NC; her mother, Irene Thompson; and three sisters, Winki Akers, Betty Linkous and Corrine Vaughan.
The family will receive friends Monday, October 15, 2012, at Horne Funeral Home from 1-2 pm, with the funeral service commencing at 2 pm in the Chapel. Elder Junior Conners will officiate. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
