Mary Allen

ALLEN, MARY PAULEY ?Rena?, age 84, of Christiansburg, died Monday, October 9, 2006 at Montgomery Regional Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late James S. Pauley and Ina P. Duncan of Bland, Virginia. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Allen and her daughter, Elizabeth Virginia ?Ginger? Spradling, sisters, Annie P. Waller and Janie P. Robinson; brothers, Hobart S. Pauley and Elmer Pauley.

Survivors include a sister, Julia P. Haines and a half sister, Loretta D. Beachtel, both of Littlestown, PA; half brothers, Allen Duncan, Gettysburg, PA and Harvey M. Duncan, Summerville, SC; also several nieces, including Juanita W. Trott and Barbara Waller both of Blacksburg; several nephews; sisters-in-law, Carol Pauley, Akron, OH; Bertha Pauley, PA; and a special son-in-law, Cecil E. Spradling of Salem, VA. Also surviving are special friends, Debbie Smith, Fayetteville, WV; Bob & Brenda Laue and Sherman & Alice Altizer of Christiansburg. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Belmont Christian Church.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday October 11 at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2006 at the Belmont Christian Church with Rev. James Bayne and Pastor Dusty Etter officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The Allen Family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg, (382-2612).
