Mark Whitescarver
September 20, 1969 — May 31, 2014
Mark Stephen Whitescarver, 44 of Parrott, formerly of Christiansburg, passed away on May 31, 2014, in Boone, NC.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn Allen Whitescarver; parents, Lewis and Marijane Whitescarver; sisters, Terry Griffith and husband Mike of Staunton, Sandy Perkinson and husband Jim; brother, Phillip Whitescarver and his partner Sterling Rider of Roanoke; step-children, Jeff and Katlyn Dove; father and mother-in-law, Roger and Peggy Allen; brothers-in-law, Roger Allen, Jr. and David Allen; special family, Jammi and Kadance; his four-legged sisters, Annie and Maggie; as well as other extended family and friends.
He was Road Captain with the Patriot Guard and continued to be an active member thereafter. Mark was active with the Veterans, specifically the POW and MIA missions. He rarely missed riding in charity fund raising Poker Runs for various organizations. Mark was employed at RAAP/BAE Systems for 17 years. He was a loving person and good friend to many and will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 5, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014, at 11 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1740 Tyler Road, Radford.
