Maria Goff

Maria L. Goff, 61 of Christiansburg, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Morgantown, W.Va. on May 18, 1950. She graduated from the Morgantown Business College in April 1971.
She is survived by her husband David Goff, of Christiansburg; her son Jonathan David and his partner Ane Johnson, of Philadelphia, PA; her son Christopher Andrew and his partner Lindsey Teaters, of Blacksburg; her parents John L. and MaryAnn Bircher; and her sister Bernadine Graves, all of Christiansburg.
Maria devoted her life to caring for her family and friends. She was a wonderful cook and spent much time sending uplifting cards to her many friends. Maria was very active in Church and choir and spent many years volunteering in Christiansburg schools. She was a beloved member of the community and had a large number of "best" friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 17, 2012, from 2-4 pm at Horne Funeral Service. A Memorial Service will be held at Christiansburg Church of the Brethren at 5 pm on Saturday. Following the service, all are invited to stay for a dinner and reception at the Church.
The family would like to extend thanks to the excellent and caring staff of the RMH CSICU.
