Margaret Virginia McGuire Hodge,76, of Christiansburg who was born January 11, 1935, went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on January 7, 2012.
A loyal member of Bible Holiness Church, her greatest joy was showing God’s love by helping other people.
The daughter of the late John (Buck) and Ruth McGuire she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer (Bill) Hodge, a loving brother, Ray McGuire.
She is survived by a brother, Ernest Monroe McGuire and wife, Joyce; sister-in-law, Christine Turner McGuire; daughter, Linda McGuire Maxwell Blankenship and husband, James; two grandchildren, Elaine Maxwell Kendrick and husband, Tim, Bobby Maxwell and wife, Amie; a step-granddaughter, Sherry Blankenship Blondino and husband, Matt: eight great-grandchildren, Tyler, Zane, Hanna, Sydney and Niki Kendrick, Hunter, Issac and Wyatt Maxwell; two step great-grandchildren, Zak and Jacob Blondino. She leaves behind one very special friend, Corine Sowers and many more in-laws, cousins, etc. to numerous to mention.
The family would also like to offer special thanks to the Skyline Manor staff for the kind and loving care giving she received through her years there.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 until 8 pm at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9th in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Roy Turpin with interment to follow in Sunset Cemetery.
