Mabel C. Guilliams, 94, of Riner, VA, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2011.
She was born June 18, 1917. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Noah & Abigail Conner and all 9 of her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, George C. Guilliams, one son, Steve Guilliams & wife, Donna, of Myrtle Beach, SC; one daughter, Sue Thacker & husband, Bob, of Riner, VA; one grandson, Robert Thacker & wife, Kimberly, of Nashville, TN; one granddaughter, Anna Guilliams of Myrtle Beach, SC; one step-grandson, John Cromer; and step great-grandson, Kirby Cromer, both of Myrtle Beach, SC; one step great-granddaughter, Carolina Cromer, of Myrtle Beach, SC. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Mabel was a long term active member of the Riner Community and Auburn United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church of your choice.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 15, 2011, from 12-1 pm at Horne Funeral Home, with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Katye Fox and Rev. Steve Aker officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem, VA.
