DeHart, Lou Margaret S, of Christiansburg, VA died peacefully at Pulaski Memorial Hospital on Saturday, February 15, 2014 following a short battle with cancer. She was born on august 14, 1927 in Rowe, VA to the late Granville and Maudy Street Shortridge and enjoyed over 86 peaceful and healthy years.
She is survived by one son, Michael Glenn DeHart of Edisto Beach, SC, and eleven brothers and sisters.
Margaret graduated from Radford College with a degree in early childhood education. She married Tyler Sanford DeHart and moved to Salem VA where she taught elementary school for over 46 years in the Roanoke County School System. She will be remembered as an educator and mother to hundreds of children throughout her life.

A funeral service will be conducted in the Abby at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 1:00 pm.
