Wells, Lonnie Edward, 42, of Elliston, Va, passed away on April 20, 2009.
He was born on March 2, 1967. He has been a longtime employee at Hubble Lighting in Christiansburg, Va. He was also a licensed Pentecostal minister. Lonnie was a kind, loving and gentle person who was always willing to help anyone.
He is survived by his parents, Charles William Wells and Betty Jo Oliver Wells, of Elliston, Va.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Jr. and Linda Wells, Gerald and Sandy Wells, sisters & brothers-in-law, Gana and Danny Reed, all of Elliston, Va, Anita and Ralph Keen, of Austinville, Va, Veronda and Emilio Zaga, of Salem, Va. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Jennifer Eversole, Pamela Conner, Amanda Cheatwood, Sonja Garber, Hannah Wells, Abigail Wells, Sarah Wright, Ginger Gordon, Jeremy Woods, Dwight Reed, Samuel Wells, Matthew Wells, Nathan Wells, Trevor Zaga, Victor Zaga; eleven great nieces and nephews; special friends, Ricky and Rita Smith.
The family will receive friends, 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at the Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Walker and Rev. Michael Schaffer officiating. Interment to follow at Halls Church Cemetery in Elliston, Va.
