Leon Hensdill

HENSDILL, LEON DOYLE, age 63, of Radford passed away Sunday, August 8, 2004. He was born in Russell County, the son of Arnold and Eula Childress Hensdill. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John David Hensdill.

He retired after 38 ? years of service as a computer programmer with ALTESS, formerly known as RDAISA, Department of the Army.

Survivors include his wife Betty Hensdill of Radford; children and spouses, Denise & John Colantoni of Chantilly, VA; Deanna & Barry Franklin of Covington, GA; Jamie & Junior Sayers of Lexington, NC; Darryl Hensdill of Radford; Tammy & Johnny Helms of Pulaski; Christy & Jerry Krafft of Radford; grandchildren, Samantha, Nick, Andrew, Baby Luke, Seth, Marcus, Cody, Brandon, Carrie, Austin, Keith and Cantley; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley & Bob Carlson of Abingdon, Jeweldine & Herman Hodges of Castlewood and Earnestine & Ray Castle of Erwin, TN; a brother and sister-in-law, Dennis & Glenna Hensdill of Castlewood; and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Bolick officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
