SHEPPARD, LAURA LOU ?Toots?, age 74, of Christiansburg passed away Monday, March 6, 2006.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oather Seldon Sheppard. She was a wonderful wife and mother and leaves to cherish her memory her daughters and son-in-law, Spring and David Martin of Salem; Janet Cox of Christiansburg; sons and daughters-in-law, Ray & Erma Sheppard of Dublin; Johnny & Melody Sheppard of Salem; grandchildren, Angie Gilmore, of Christiansburg; Heather Martin of Roanoke; Melissa Sheppard of Dublin, Keith Sheppard of Salem; one great grandchild, Seldon Gilmore; brother, Jesse Showalter of Floyd; sister, June Trainhan of Richmond.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 8 at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 9 at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
