CLOWER, KENNETH ALTON, age 53, of Riner, passed away Monday, January 1, 2008 at Baptist Hospital, Winston-Salem, NC after a long illness.
He was a life member of the Riner Fire Department.
Preceded in death by his father, Vernon Clower he is survived by his wife, Joyce Clower; a daughter, Kaitlin Clower; his mother, Chlorine M. Clower; brother and sister-in-law, E.J. and Debbie Clower; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many special friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Riner Fire Department, PO Box 11, Riner, VA 24149 or the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, Riner Station, PO Box 176, Christiansburg, VA 24068. The family will receive friends 5 pm to 8 pm, Thursday, Jan. 3, at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor Shake Smith and Rev. Neal Turner with interment to follow in Sunset Cemetery.
