Katie Kingrea

Katie Dickerson Kingrea, 84, of Floyd, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 23, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ethel Underwood; and her husband, Arold Kingrea. She is survived by her children, James Kingrea and wife Susan of Floyd, and Connie Kingrea and Jeff Davis of McCoy; grandchildren, A.J. Akers, Willie Akers, Jessica Kingrea, Tasha Davis, Tonya Davis, and Blake Davis; brother, Frank Underwood and wife Eilene of Shawsville.
Katie was a member of the Lighthouse Family Ministries church. She sewed for a living and enjoyed gardening, but she really enjoyed playing with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank Carilion Hospice and Radford Health and Rehab for taking care of Katie.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 25, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Lighthouse Family Ministries, Union Valley Road, Riner, with Pastor Buford Linkous and Pastor Steve Akers officiating. Interment will follow in Huffville Cemetery, Floyd.
