Joni Frazier

August 17, 1958 — April 19, 2010

Frazier, Joni Ann, 51, of Christiansburg, VA, passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends April 19, 2010 at Lewis Gale Hospital.

Joni was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Frazier.

Joni is survived by her mother Jean Frazier, of Christiansburg, VA; sister and brother-in-law, Julie and Sean Daugherty; niece, Jordan and nephew, Kyle of Charlotte NC. Joni is survived by her fiancé, Ricky Johnson, of Blacksburg, VA, who gave her much love and happiness; aunts and uncles, Janice and Bill Davis, Jimmy and Pat Frazier, and Ronnie and Shirley Seddon; and many cousins.

Joni had a special spirit who touched everyone she met. She loved photography and worked in Christiansburg with “Lester’s Photography” for many years. The family would like to give a special “thanks” to all the staff at Lewis Gale Hospital and the wonderful support team of Life Net and especially to Father Darby and wife, Shelia; Aunt Janice Davis and life-long friends Vicki Poff and Dari Cupp. We would also like to give a "very special thanks" to Linda Turman. Joni will live on in our hearts and now her gift of “organ donation” will help others live on.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 23, 2010 at St. Peters Anglican Catholic Church with Father Alex Darby officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m., Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Parrish House located beside of the church. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bluefield, WV. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to the Arthritis Foundation, P.O. Box 4593, Roanoke, VA 24015.
