John Alex Martin

John Alex Martin, 60, of Shawsville, VA, passed away Monday, August 5, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Belvia Ann Martin, Emmett J. Martin, and John B. Elkins; and his wife, Judith Elaine Martin. He is survived by his children, Tabitha Jackson (Todd), Samantha Lutz (Robert), Ruth Martin, and John H. Martin (Haley); grandchildren, Timothy Jackson, Tiffany Jackson, Taylor Jackson, Jaden Lutz, and Rosemary Lutz; siblings, Linda Kilbourne (Bobby), Katie Thomas (Robert), Sandy DeFrance (Brian), Glendia Mullins (Monte), and Jerry Elkins (Wanda), Loria, Charlotte, James, and John Elkins; friend/brother, Aldo Hodge; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts and uncles that he loved dearly.

He chose to be cremated but the family will receive friends on Saturday, August 10, 2019, from 4-7 p.m. at 1206 Alleghany Spring Road, Shawsville, VA 24162. There will be light refreshments but guests are welcome to bring a dish of food.
