John Dewey Kanode, 63, of Roanoke, Virginia, died on Saturday, November 26, 2016.
He was a beloved husband to his wife, Susan Kanode of 44 years. He was a loving father of his two sons, Benjamin of Roanoke, and Christopher of Harrisonburg, Virginia. He was an astonishing provider for his family and he steadfastly loved his friends and family. In addition to his sons, he is survived by his sister, Dorothy Nuckols of Montgomery, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, with Pastor David Rhudy officiating.
