John Allen Hamlin, 73, of Christiansburg went to be with the Lord on February 9, 2014.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie B. & Hazel Louise Hamblin; brothers, Willie B. Hamblin, Jr., Jerry Ray Hamblin and infant son Mark Allen Hamlin.
Suriving are his wife, Sylvia Hamlin; daughters, Lisa G. Miller of Christiansburg and Rhonda Zirkle & husband, Elden of Amherst; sister, Peggy L. Wickline; brother, Ronnie Hamblin & wife, Doris; sisters, Donna & JD Duncan and Kay & David Terry of Christiansburg; special long time friends, Billy & Juanita Shepherd; along with several nieces and nephews
Visitation will be on Monday, February 10, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 2 p.m. Cambria Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Jerry Shepperd & Jube Burke officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Good Samaritan Hospice of Roanoke & Rev. Jerry Shepherd and the Cambria Pentecostal Holiness Church family for their kindness and prayers.
